As a Web & Marketing Designer, you would collaborate closely with other marketing team members in Finland and in the US, and support them in various developer-led marketing efforts. In this position you can choose to work either at Vaadin HQ in Turku, Finland (comprehensive relocation package available), Vaadin Berlin, Germany office or work remotely from anywhere within ±2h EET (Finland)

To give you some examples of the responsibilities, in this role you would:

Design branded graphics to be used across marketing channels from newsletters to social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
Work on new page designs and digital assets for campaigns (visuals, banners and animations), blog posts, presentations and occasional brochures, leaflets and promotional products.
Maintain and evolve our brand identity and our Design System in Figma.
Come up with ideas. We like to hear everyone's opinion, so if there's something we could do better, we want you to share. It's part of your job.

What you absolutely, positively need to show

Great skills at visual design & designing for conversion: Your work is consistently awesome, always on brand, utilizes efficiently the pieces and patterns of the design system and so on. Most importantly, your work is positively impactful, not just great looking.
A portfolio that demonstrates a strong sense of layout, color and typography.
Serious Figma mastery: Our whole team, our work, assets and libraries are all in there.
Team work skills. Great overall communication skills in English, remote collaboration skills, experience from working with a team over Slack, ClickUp, Discord, Google Meet etc.
Ability to utilize time management and balance multiple tasks and deadlines.

Bonus points for

Basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge. We're not looking for a web developer but would like you to know and understand the basics while designing for the web.
HubSpot CMS skills and experience in publishing your work and building templates/modules in our content management system.
Design Systems experience: using, creating, and maintaining systems of any size. We have our own DS for our web content.
Brand building, in broader and more holistic sense than just monogram logos and stationery. We love building our brand in-house.
