JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will work directly with product teams & engineers to build the best online construction accounting and job costing product in the market.
Your responsibilities
As an early member of the CrewCost team, you will be an integral part of making the consequential early decisions that will drive our growth. Your responsibilities will evolve as CrewCost grows, but for starters, they will include:
Take ownership and work independently on a few projects at a time across multiple parts of the product
Shape the CrewCost's brand and ensure a consistent experience across the product
Design pixel-perfect work that represents the CrewCost's brand and product experience
Rapidly iterate and refine design concepts - from initial briefing through final delivery
Work collaboratively with product owners & engineers to identify key design hypotheses and ensure design standards are met through deployment
Test, learn and iterate on everything you do alongside the rest of the team
The ideal candidate:
Must be located in Austin, TX. This is not a fully remote position
Has 5+ years of product design, UI/UX design, visual design, or equivalent experience including 2-3 years in a consumer-facing product design role.
Portfolio that demonstrates evidence of launching software at scale in a fast-paced product organization across multiple markets.
Ability to work independently to explore concepts from beginning to end, yet also crave healthy feedback loops with your ideas.
Outstanding attention to detail with a proven track record of working within and contributing to a design system.
Proficient in Figma, including high-fidelity prototyping and design system
Strong skills in UI/UX, interaction design, visual design, illustration and motion
Values curiosity, humility and accountability
Speaks English fluently
Thrives in an ambiguous and fast paced environment
Is comfortable working in a distributed work environment
Has a passion for travel and/or cruises and regularly experiences wanderlust
