Interactive Designers work within our Creative Services team and support our Advertising business by creating the full suite of GumGum ad units for our clients, mainly using Hype.

Interactive Designers show a high degree of proficiency in both design and animation. They take provided assets , concepts and briefs and turn them into compelling ad units. This role is a critical part of our department’s charter of securing, launching, and supporting campaigns.


Develop designs for GumGum ad units to meet client brief
Is able to use the full suite of design tools to build compelling, high-quality ad units for GumGum Clients
Chooses the right tools for the job and avoids over complicating simple design requests
Can work with and incorporate client provided assets
Can incorporate IAB-sized HTML5 ads, print and social media ads, illustrations, product photography, logos, and typefaces to produce GumGum’s core ads
Work with internal team to prioritize work and deadlines
Working with internal account managers to execute and deliver on priority customer accounts.
Remain relevant with external design and animation trends
Scans external market and stays up to date on latest design and animation trends and relates this to GumGum Client designs

Minimum Qualifications

BFA, Bootcamp, or Trade School degree or other similar background in graphic design, web design, interactive design or related discipline
2+ years of design experience with a design studio, agency, or digital media company.
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite. Have a good working knowledge of:
Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe Illustrator
After Effects
Various tools such as Miro Video Converter, TinyPNG, FTP Software
Strong understanding of the principles of animation
A clean visual aesthetic
Working knowledge of common animation tool conventions
Keyframe animation, motion graphs, etc
Has used tools such as:
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Animate
Tumult Hype
Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite products
Awareness of current trends in UI and UX in both the desktop and mobile spaces
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS a plus
The ability to be creative within a design brief and operate under tight deadlines
Clear communicator
Enthusiastic about design and animation
Organized self-starter with proactive attitude
Attention to detail is absolutely essential
