According to a recent CDC study, nearly 50% of Americans want to lose weight, and on average, Americans have gained 30 lbs during the pandemic. But the existing weight loss industry focuses on shame - if you don’t have the willpower to eat less and workout more, you aren’t trying hard enough.
Modern science shows us that weight care is complex - food and movement are important, but so are hormones, genetics, sleep, stress, mental health, and daily habits. Found’s unique approach incorporates personalized coaching, an online community, and if indicated, medical and prescription solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to give voice to the Found brand across all touchpoints (website, email, SMS, push notifications, landing pages, video scripts, PR support) for both evergreen media and seasonal campaigns. You should possess an intuitive understanding of consumers’ mindsets and motivations, and be able to create compelling copy that helps engage, acquire and retain customers. You should also have a strong brand perspective, and a desire to be a key player on a creative team that is building a generational brand in the weight care space. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including: Marketing, Design, Product, Content, and Legal.
What You’ll Do
Write compelling copy across media, including web, social, print, and video
Embody the voice of the customer throughout all interactions, from their first introduction to the brand through their daily interactions as a member
Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
Collaborate with creative, product, marketing, content, and legal to assess project needs and support messaging
Drive brand consistency across all company communications
As our champion storyteller, you will have major input into the company’s brand and future creative direction
Evolve tone and voice and writing guidelines as we continue to test what resonates and doesn’t with our target audience
Manage and/or partner with freelance talent or agency partners as needed
What You Have
Passion for working in a rapidly growing business with curiosity, humility, humor, and professionalism
4+ years of copywriting in a high-growth consumer company, across multi-channel media
Comfort with ambiguity and a motivated, self-starter attitude (we’re a new creative team, and we’ll need you to help us write the playbook)
Strong pulse on writing for diverse, cultural communities, especially in navigating the biases people who struggle with weight often face to
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an outstanding eye for detail
Comfort with data and metrics, and an ability to work with performance teams to optimize creative based on the data
Strong organizational and project management skills
Experience working collaboratively with Marketing, Data, Product, Content, Design
