Copywriters are wordsmiths who bring the Emburse brand to life using captivating language. With their mastery of language, they create branded creative content that engages, converts, and delights in each of our target areas and audiences. They instinctively know what works and what doesn’t in messaging, and they possess a loving proficiency for long and short-form copy. From e-books to event booth content, copywriters have a hand in almost everything with words. Copywriters write alongside a mighty group of exceptionally hardworking, always collaborative creatives and produce content for multiple departments with lightning-quick speed.

What you'll do:

Embrace and champion the Emburse brand
Work cross-functionally as a brand storyteller, bringing fresh ideas for projects of all sizes and strategic goals
Collaborate with marketing team members (product, demand generation, brand, web, etc.) to deliver on strategic content requests
Serve as a creative partner on project teams by providing engaging approaches to communications that resonate with audiences
Work daily alongside extended creative services team and stakeholders across departments to develop concepts and copy that work together to achieve our goals
Contribute ideal messaging directions for projects while aligning with Emburse’s established brand tone and voice guidelines
Help concept and execute copy for a wide spectrum of marketing collateral types and channels
Receive, interpret, and implement direction/feedback from project stakeholders
Take end-to-end ownership of select marketing initiatives
Co-manage digital asset library and ensure all content is current
Co-manage public-facing content to ensure material is current and within latest brand standards, archiving dated content
Proofread and edit…a lot, including final art files and website pages
Participate in department meetings to discuss project goals, status, and collaborate with the greater team
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What we're looking for:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred: Bachelor of Arts Degree
5+ years in brand storytelling, preferably in B2B marketing copywriting
Expertise in B2B copywriting and brand storytelling, with full understanding of English language and grammar
Ability to understand and analyze data
Ability to initiate and follow folder structure on Dropbox, Brandfolder, and Google Drive
Proficient in Google Suite
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint, Excel, and Word
Understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Experience with digital marketing tools such as SurveyMonkey/Momentive, HighSpot, Salesforce, and other similar programs preferred but not required
Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
Ability to manage multiple tasks and resources, and prioritize schedules and timelines, meeting deadlines consistently
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully
Understanding of industry and how to present thoughts to clients in a digestible manner
Must demonstrate the ability to manage projects from beginning to end, taking into account direction from team leads, clients, and input from other team members
Must approach work with a mature and professional attitude that is an example to others both in the department and in the company in general
Understanding of entire creative process
Ability to proofread, spell check, vet design work, and review all documents
Ability to see projects through from ideation to concept to execution
Strong business acume
