The Content Specialist is responsible for the production and management of a variety of customer-facing content at Cover Genius. This includes writing informational content to support our Cover Genius customers across our different products (XCover,, creating insurance-related content on our partner’s websites, and ad hoc work on supporting marketing collateral. Working alongside our Partner-Services and Product teams, the Content Specialist will play a key role in contributing to the ongoing success of our customer support and digital presence. The Content Specialist is a team player and a strong advocate of content style guides, processes and best practices.

What your working week will involve

End-to-end management and production of content that is presented throughout the customer journey, from policy wording to frontend copy and the claims experience (of course, we do all that very differently to the insurance industry!).
Writing simple, easy to read, customer-friendly and compliant content.
Wordsmithing the products and identifying opportunities to incorporate features of our world-leading technology platforms, all for the benefit of users.
Championing user-centred design within everything you write.
Acting as the conduit between the product customer operations teams to create and manage content & translations presented at different points throughout the customer journey.
Collaborate closely with customer and product teams on the development of style guides, best practices and processes.
Work closely with customer support teams to understand how our customers consume content, and address any identified pain points.

What the ideal profile looks like

Experience and/or passion in the technology or startup industries.
Superior English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Passion for user-centered design.
Adhering to Plain English guidelines when writing content.
University degree in Communications, Humanities, Journalism or similar.
1-2 years experience creating and managing content.
Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
Experience planning and writing useful, usable content including instructional text, customer communications (including emails, SMSs), error and confirmation messages.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to take initiative on projects to deliver to tight deadlines.
Experience at an Insurtech/fintech business would be highly valued.
Multilingual ability is highly regarded, but most importantly, your English communication skills will be extremely polished.
